Today I got a shit ton of stuff done! Let's see

I went on my morning walk

This is a new development i started last week. I'd been struggling with energy ever since I majorly decreased my caffeine intake and adderall meds, which I did because my anxiety was outrageous. I searched up alternate ways to get energy, and seeing sun in the morning was a big one! Getting that circadian rhythm in check and all that.

It has been a huge mood lifter. I have been walking to a nearby park with a community garden and admiring the veggies. (When the time is right, I'd like to volunteer there. Learn to grow food!) There's also a lovely little neighborhood art path in the median of a street i take to get there.

The fresh air, the trees, getting out of the house and moving, these are all so helpful. I have had issues with near-agoraphobia, and leaving the house for a walk before I start on anything else has been really positive for my feeling of connection with my community and surroundings. I'll need to take some pics when I have a digital camera on hand. I do not bring my phone with me, so this has also been an exercise in going without a GPS and building my own directional awareness. I am very directionally challenged, so this has also helped build confidence.

It's also helping me adjust to my new work schedule--I have a weekend job that I need to wake up at 7am for. This week I've been waking up around 8am by myself, so it'll be easier this weekend than it has before. (My typical wakeup time is past 11am.)

Anyway, SUCCESS!!!

I emptied and refilled the litterbox

not a desirable task, but i DID IT!!! And i just got it over with after my walk :3

I cooked breakfast and lunch!!!

- Egg scramble with tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, cheese, and avocado, served with tortillas. I put in too much cheese... people say it's impossible but I did it...it was mush...but still edible and my partner ate it too and neither of us died! It was p alright.

- Toasted sandwich with avocado, cheese, onion, tomato, romaine heart, and some shredded chicken. I don't buy meat but that was from the food pantry, and i'll eat anything that's free. Yes, I consider this cooking.

You must understand, I have so much trouble making food for myself and I've been doing it more lately! I think in part because the walks have been helping me so much!

I put away the clean dishes and washed the dirty ones

( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ

I went to my case manager appointment

Making progress with that social security disability insurance (SSDI) application money-mouth

I spent time cleaning my clothes mess in my room

I took inspiration from Unfuck your Home to

  • clean in 20/10 min work/break increments
  • take before and after pics
  • reject perfectionism

And hey it's not done, but it's a huge improvement! Here are my pics...

So clearly, not perfect! But it's a huge improvement. And my kitties can feel it!

So if I keep doing small and steady progress like these, soon enough it will be more like maintenance than a huge overhaul.

So I am really proud of myself for how much work I've gotten done today!
